Cannot Format Return Address

We cannot format the return address such as changing the font, style, etc. The help file says there is a drop down menu on the return address window but it wont activate itself. After several attempt we get the the Spinning Beach Ball of Death and the application freezes. This is under Mac OS X Lion v. 10.7.4 on a MacBook Pro Retina. I wish there was a way to get my money back. We will keep using the East Envelope Widget which works very well. We do not recommend you purchase this application, stay with the FREE widget version.

Works well!

Unlike rpapp, I had no trouble running the program after downloading and installing it in OSX 10.8 (Mountan Lion). It does exactly what it says it will do, and the interface is elegant. The ability to change the fonts, sizes and alignment of the address and return address worked just fine (just select the text you want to adjust, then click it, and a popup appears for adjusting the type specifications). Ive also owned various Ambrosia applications for years, including the Easy Envelope widget, and theyve always worked well, and its my experience the developer is responsive through its support access.

Great app!

After spending a very frustrating hour trying to coax Contacts to print my Christmas card envelopes, I downloaded EasyEnvelopes. If I had known how much time it would save me, I would have started with EasyEnvelopes and gladly paid twice the price.

Great and easy to use!

Finally a software that makes sense when its time to make envelopes. Far better than Contacts from Apple. Keep on the good work people at Ambrosia...

keyboard support is lacking

This app did the trick more or less. I copied an address to my clipboard, hit the edit box, and easy envelopes ripped the address out of my clipboard and into the edit box. Throw an envelope in the printer and bam. Done. For 10 bucks, I feel like with a bit more searching I could find an addressbook plugin that would do the same job cheeper and more effectively. My main issue with this program is lack of keyboard support. The contacts integration is completely unusable with the keyboard. I couldnt get the program to put in a return address no matter how I tried. Most of the buttons have no labels and many have no help tags. So, its not really obvious to me… you know… just exactly what the heck they do. i have to press and guess. I love the idea, and it helped me out when I needed something quick and dirty, but for my purposes it was overpriced and under-designed.

Custom envelope sizes do not print correctly

Looked promising, ended up being a waste of money for printing addresses on custom sized envelopes.

PERFECT!!!!

To me, printing envelopes is the most difficult thing in the world—this coming from someone who builds websites for a living. Regardless of your printer, your software, or what envelope you use, it’s guaranteed to not work properly. This program, on the other hand, just freaking works! You enter the info and it poops an envelope out of the printer. Worth $10? Hell yes. I’d pay $20 for this.

it is that easy

A bit distressed that the app has not seen an update in three years. Nary a malfunction in El Capitan, 10.11.6. This app is easy to use and accepts additional configuration. Recently, my new project used 6x9 inch Catalogue envelopes. Perfect size to half-fold letter size paper. EE permitted me to quickly create the 6x9. template. A couple minutes to fiddle with orientation and my old HP printed on the envelope first time, every time. I created a 6x9 page template in TextEdit to write as a text document. Easy Envelopes helped in the multiple, one-off for the several return address as well as the addressees. Good stuff.

No Support

I’ve written twice for support on a cosmetic problem but have received no response. Ambrosia, you need to do better. The phone says they are not answering for a while. What’s going on?

Please Update for Serria.

Used this for a long time, now with macOS Serria it will only print first 2 lines on an envelope. Please update!!!

HELP PLEASE

Does anyone out there know how to remove the barcode off the address thats printed??????? Purchased this for my wedding invites and for some reason when i print there is a barcode above the address HELLLLLLP

Nice idea, when it works!

I like this little app, but have yet to get it to work! Simply type addresses in the right boxes and print. What could be simpler? When I type in the addresses in their respective boxes, they look perfect in the app window. However, when I attempt to print, the print dialog does not contain the last line in each window. So when I do print an envelope, the last line of each address, which is city/state/zip is missing! Trying to get support is almost impossible, because when I click ‘support’ , Safari gives me the message: "Safari can’t open the page." I would just love to get this app to work because it would help me avoid opening Word just to print a single envelope. And, of course, there is no refund on this app.

Handicapped

The return address layout options are incredibly limited. My current return address consists of a graphic, with my initials partially overlaid. Underneath is my complete name and address. This design is beyond this app. It’s simply impossible to do. Very frustrating. On the positive side, merging addresses to print recipients works well. Example: My Christmas card list. All contacts that get a Christmas card have the word “Christmascard” in their note. This allows me to create a smart group with only Christmas card recipients in it. In this app, I can specify the smart group as a recipient and get only those contacts printed without much fuss. I just wish the return address layout options were better. I ended up creating the perfect return address in Powerpoint, where I now print my envelopes.

Easy Envelopes really is Easy and Versatile

EE lets me format both the address and the return address. Multiple return address formats let me choose the one with the right JPG image and font. Including a JPG image next to the return address is very nice and easy, especially if you check the FAQ section on the web site for sizing tips. My only suggestion is for EE to add a field in the left lower corner of the envelope for ATTN or other notation. Easy Envelopes was one reward for upgrading to Mountain Lion (OS X 10.8).

The PERFECT Envelope Address Printing Software

Great piece of software. This defiantly fills in the gap where office suites fall short. Very intuitive and easy to use. In my opinion, Ambrosia Software is one of the best software developers out there.

Excellent Envelope Printing App

I agree with other users that this program is the missing link that FINALLY makes envelope printing easy. I give it 4 stars. I would like to see the ability to add more graphics/images anywhere on the envelope at a user specified size. Good work Ambrosia — great price and versatile too.

Minimal Accessibility Support

For an application to be titled Easy, I would expect the developers to include Voice Over support. Unfortunately, the app has a long way to go before a visually impaired user may pick up this app. Support was contacted and they indicated they may consider updating the app with the necessary features to make Voice Over accessibility plausible. Until this occurs, I must rate this app very low.

Love it!

I was scared this was gone when Mountain Lion came out, I didnt realize it was completely redone. I love the newest version. I like how it lets you customize weird envelope sizes (perfect for these envelopes I bought at staples that are non-standard size). It also prints the barcodes and lets me pull addresses from my address book. Well worth the $10.

Bugs - does not function as advertised.

Not ready for release. I should have known since the widget was full of bugs, but the few good reviews and dearth of other envelope printing apps convinced me to try this. First of all it only comes with four preset envelope sizes, and not any common ones except for #10. That wouldnt be a problem except my printer will not print any of the custom sizes I create. I have two different HP printers and they both get "stack overflow" or "invalid command" errors. Even if you only print the supplied sizes, the options to customize are limited. No font color changes, and when you insert a graphic it does not print straight. Apple should have a mechanism for getting refunds. $10 down the tube.

Good app

Does what it says it does. Creating custom envelopes is simple and straightforward. Choice between POSTNET barcodes and IM barcodes. Just works.
