I am running Mac OS X Mountain Lion (10.8.4) and the application doesnt even open. It just crashes and asks me to send the information to Apple. I discovered you have to disallow contacts from being accessed. When you get the app to open the envelope doesnt even print the correct direction. It doesnt print sideways either so unless if you have a fancy printer that can print Enevelope #10 the long ways. This is nothing more than the pointless letter feature in Microsoft Word but as a seperate over priced application. If I could just be able to rotate the envelope so I can print it out then I can probably rate this app as a 4/5 stars easily. But since it cant even do that I have absolutely no use in this application. This application is worthless. -Mike

After reading the mixed reviews, I was uncertain about the app, but decided to give it a try. On the whole, I really like it and will use it frequently. I would rate the app 5 Stars, but I did find the same problem that others mentioned, in that "out of the box" my return address wouldnt fit in the allotted space. (And I have a short address.) Hopefully, the developers will allow for longer addresses in the next version. I was able to come up with an easy workaround, though. With a #10 envelope, for example, I simply duplicated it, renamed it, and then adjusted the length to 10.25 inches. Thats .75 inch longer than the actual envelope, but when you increase the length of the envelope, the address boxes stretch a bit too, and my address now fits. Next, I had to move both the address and return address boxes a bit to the right, and with a little trial and error, envelopes look perfect. Hope this is helpful and that the problem will go away with the next version.

I use this all the time for one-off envelopes to family, vendors, friends. Easy-peasy.

Ive used Easy Envelopes for more than a year and love it madly. Never had a problem, never had a glitch. It does what its supposed to do, and it does it well. The features arent extra annoying baggage--they add value. This app performs flawlessly and is worth every penny.

This app is a waste if you are wanting that pretty calligraphy looking font. I wanted something really pretty for my Christmas cards, but I am very dissapointed with the money I just spent. Very generic. Cant turn or change the way you address the letter. There is no pretty font available. I will keep looking for something pretty and hope I dont waste alot of money.

I purchased this app in early November and it worked ok. After upgrading to Maverick, the App became dead in the water. I’ve tried e-mailing and calling Ambrosia Software but no response. Nothing on the net. I paid $10.00 for this App, there’s no update, no word and no contact. Irresponsibe company, JUNK and a ripoff considering they did not prepare for the Maverick upgrade and never notified users. That’s pretty bad.

I bought it,..it crashes and my $10 is gone! Will no longer print!! Christmas Mailing list jeopardized!! This is awful!!

Works good for printing my Christmas cards but, would like to be able to choose color for font. Also needs better way to select addressees.

I could change the print color, add a picture to the sender address, and the addresses stayed in alphabetical order. The instructions to print to change from air print are great and easy. Other than this minor things, this is a perfect app for addressing envelopes and so well worth the $10. Thanks!!

The screenshots made the app look promising, but after using the app for a few minutes I quickly realized that the limitations would actually make printing my 160 address mailing list harder (not easier) than if I used Mac OS Xs built-in Contacts app. - The screenshot makes it look like you can edit the address directly in the App, but in actuality all changes need to be done in Contacts. - The app ignores distribution lists - If the group from Contacts is updated, all of your settings such as of Font, Preferred Address are reset. Also current envelop number that is currently being viewed goes back to the first envelop, and there is no fast way to resume where you left off. - While you can reposistion the TO and FROM addresses, you cant change the size of the box. For example: A standard 3 line address at Avenir 11pt doesnt fit as a FROM address This is actually creating more work for me. Ambrososia usually makes good software, but this one is not worth the $10.

I wish I had read the reviews more carefully. There appears to be no easy way (if any way) to change the font and color on all your envelopes. This program is WAY to basic for any real use.

My very short return address does not seem to “fit” when I use any other font than the default… There is no customization after you link it to Address Book - for example - my Christmas cards I want addressed to “The Smith Family” - not just John Smith. Not an option. Pages removed mail merge from the new version, I was hopeful this would be the answer. As others have stated. $10 down the drain.

This app will not work on the # 10 envelopes

Clips the top line of text. When selecting from the address book, only loads the city/state/zip line of the address, not the name or street address.

I have used the old widget for years. This is a great upgrade, easy to use, easy to customize. I love the way it will take an address from the clipboard and drop it right in, a great help for those one-time envelopes not in your address book. It is too good for 4 stars, so I give it 5 stars even though I wish it had a few more things: 1) You can select an address form your address book, then make changes to print the envelope (like make it Mr. & Mrs. Jones). Great. But if you select a group to print, you cannot make any changes. You should be able to make a one-time print change as you go to the addresses from the groups also. 2) I like the graphic you can put on the return address. Now lets see a graphic option for the send to address. Would be great for Christmas cards and such, put a wreath in front of the addresses, for example 3) I would like to be able to re-order the envelope icons at the bottom (drag them left or right), and delete some of the "default" ones I will never use (it will not let you delete the default envelopes). It should just make sure you always have one envelope (cannot delete the last one), I can see why it would be a problem if you deleted all the envelopes.

Like many other reviewers, I have used this app for a long time, ever since the early days of the Dashboard widget. I generally like it, and it is well worth the price. One thing I wish for is a shipping label as one of the standard sizes (e.g. the half-sheet stick on label that you use for UPS packages). I tried to make my own, but the overall dimensions are too large for Easy Envelop’s custom rulers. But I have made it work well enough to get by.

Im a one-man law office, and I use this for printing all of my regular sized envelopes. Have been using it for well over a year. I find it to be much easier and faster than Word, and I love being able to highlight the address in the Word document and have it autofilled in this app. About the only thing I wish the app would let me do is add carriage returns/blank lines at the end of the TO address so that I can type additional information at the bottom, e.g., "PERSONAL AND CONFIDENTIAL". As it stands, if you dont a character in the line, it will condense the space to the previous line, so I have to use periods or other small characters. But, all in all, a great little app that will save you more than $10 worth of your time over the long run.

I couldnt figure out how to do single envelopes in Pages. It kept print wrong and no matter what I tried it wouldnt work. Wasting time. So I then found this app and decided to give it a try. did exactly what I needed and quick! Wish I had found it before wasting all that time trying to find a different solution. Great app!

Update: delete and re-install seemed to have helped the problems I was seeing. Still a bit buggy. I have been using EasyEnvelopes since it was a desktop widget thingy. Probably the only one I really used. It was nice when it became a standalone app. However, the user interface is all hosed on Mavericks. It hasn’t had an update for a VERY long time. Hey guys, how about an update!

need i say more.. what a piece of crap. wont let you edit the addresses. ten dollars too much. this shouldnt even be in the app store. loser for sure. what a waste of money and time. definitely dont buy it.
